An All Progressives Congress Senatorial candidate in Jigawa State in the forthcoming 2023 elections, Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa has dead.
Kiyawa , a former member of the House of Representatives for Kiyawa/Dutse Federal constituency died at a Chinese hospital on Saturday.
He was first admitted at a hospital in Abuja for a lung infection but was later flown to China for further treatment when his condition worsened
A statement issued on Sunday by the Special Adviser, Media and Public Relations to Jigawa State Governor, Habibu Nuhu Kila confirmed the tragedy
According to the statement, the governor described the death of Tijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa as a great loss not only to his family but the Muslim Ummah.
‘’He described the lateTijjani Ibrahim Kiyawa as a loyal and dependable politician who contributed immensely to the political development of the state and the country,’’ the statement said.
‘He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant him an eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
