A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo State, Uche Onyeagucha, has descended on the National Chairman of the party, Victor Oye, over his recent threat to expel wife of late Dim Odimegwu Ojukwu, Dame Bianca.

According to a press statement he issued, through his Chief Press Secretary, Macdonald Enwerem, and made available to Daily Sun in Owerri, Onyeagucha, who is also a former House of Representatives member for Owerri Federal Constituency, described the threat as embarrassing, coming from the national chairman who, he said, ought to be ashamed for being instrumental to most of the crises in the party today.

Onyeagucha said: “To us, it is embarrassing that Sir Oye, after his racketeering undertakings in the party, still has the effrontery to issue a suspension threat to Mrs. Bianca. We thought  there was still a modicum of honour left with Oye. He has really shown that he has lost his sense of objectivity and discernment.”

Speaking further on the crisis generated from the primary election of the party, Onyeagucha said: “No sane person can contemplate suspending anybody from the party, because, APGA, under Oye, is no more worthy of any body’s membership.”

He, however, challenged Oye to rather suspend him from the party, if he has such courage.

“Instead of engaging in such an infantile threat, we expected Oye to muster courage to issue a suspension threat on the likes of Uche Onyeagucha. The truth is that if there is anyone who should be expelled from the party, it should be Oye.”
