The leadership crisis rocking the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State yesterday took another dimension as prominent stakeholders  including a serving state legislator, Romanus Obi rejected the leadership of Mr Okwudili Ezenwankwo who was endorsed recently by the National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye.

At the stakeholders’ meeting attended by more than 300 leaders and members from various wards, in the council area, they  affirmed their support for Chief Fred Ndubuisi Okoli-led leadership of the party in the council area.

“We, the members of the Orumba North Working Committee, Ward chairmen, Ward women, leaders, Ward Secretaries, Ward Youth Leaders, and major stakeholders of APGA condemn the disheartening decision of the National Chairman of APGA, Chief Victor Oye on March 16, 2016 at his house in Amawbia, when he raised the hands of Okwudili Ezenwankwo and declared him the leader of APGA in Orumba North Local Government Area. ”

The statement issued at the end of the meeting read: “We’ll continue to affirm our unalloyed support to Chief Okey Ezeibe, Okey Udeh (B.O.T. members); Romanus Obi (House of Assembly member) and Okey Enekwe (Chairman Transition Committee, Orumba North as authentic leaders of APGA who became leaders by virtue of various key positions they hold in the party,” they assured.
