The President of Pentecostal Ministers Forum (PMF), Archbishop Chidi Anthony, has commended the Commander, Inspector General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IGPSIRT), Deputy Commissioner Abba Kyari, for his unique contribution in checking crime rate in the country, especially busting of high profile criminals.
He made the commendation during his courtesy visit to Kyari in Lagos recently.
Anthony, who also the presiding minister of Kings in Christ ministries, observed that patriotic zeal of the Police Officer is worthy of commendation; stating that Kyari is indeed outstanding in the area of busting high profile criminal cases; not minding the ethnic or religious background of the crime suspects.
He explained that Kyari’s unique feat at busting high profile criminal cases in the country at a time when crime and criminality is wide spread is worthy of commendation. “For your information, Kyari is the one who arrested the millionaire kidnapper Evans and and another criminal, Wadume. That is why I am commending him for allowing God to use him, to check crime rate in Nigeria.”
Anthony described Kyari as a very good man and an officer that anybody would like to relate with due to his role in fighting crime.“He is a man that has patriotic zeal and efforts at combating crimes. I have known him since 2012 when he was Officer in-charge of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS). He is accommodating and attentive.”
According to Anthony, Kyari’s unbiased disposition speaks eloquently to the world that Nigerians are not embroiled in any religious war. “You know that he is core Muslim, but he wants to know certain things that are not clear to him about Christianity and we spent about 20 minutes discussing the scripture and I used that opportunity to clarify some of those gray areas.”
The PMF President stressed the need for people to get closer to one another and understand themselves, rather than branding one another as bad. “You need to come very close to a person to be able to appreciate the person’s side of the story. I am a pastor and I shepherd over a very big church. I can tell you that it is not everyone that attends my church is born again. Where there is original, there must also be fake.”
The cleric insisted that he owes DC Abba Kyari prayers for him to continue to fight crime to the barest minimum. “I have also told all the members of PMF to always pray for him, Take his name to the altar and pray to God to protect him. A man who can fight crimes at such high level, is the kind the country will pray not to lose. He will not die in active service, but will live to eat the fruit of his labour. Also, I will live to see Kyari become Inspector General of Police of this country before he retires.”
