The Anglican Archbishop, Province of the Niger and Bishop Diocese of Aguata , Most Revd Christian Efobi has called on  Nigerians  to pray fervently for the quick recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari .

Efobi made the call on Sunday in Umuchu, Aguata Local Government Area in a sermon to mark the Inauguration of 61st Parish of Aguata Diocese at   St Peter’s Anglican Church, Umuchu built by an Industrialist, Chief Godwin Ezeemo.

He said that nobody is immune from falling sick and considering the prevailing situation in the country today, President Buhari needs the prayers of all Nigerians so that he will recover speedily.

The Archbishop said this period of Lent for Christians calls for serious prayers for the country and its leaders in various levels for God’s intervention in the affairs of the country so that the nation can move forward to a resounding growth.

He said St Peter’s Anglican Church would be the 61 parish in the diocese and reminded the faithful that the creation of parishes was to enhance evangelism and to ensure that nobody was left out in hearing and doing God’s command.

He commended the builder of the church Mr Godwin Ezeemo for building a House for God and prayed that God will continue to bless his family and called on other wealthy men in the state to emulate his footprints in the development strides while  encouraging  Christians to serve God in their own capacity.

Speaking, Ezeemo thanked the church for giving him the opportunity to serve God in the capacity of building the temple and promised to always be part of what is happening in the church.

He said he grew up and was trained to be lover of God‘s work through his late mother who taught him to always render service to people and in the church.

The visiting Rev, Nnamdi Ajaoku of St Peter’s Anglican Church Enugwu –Ukwu said that they were happy to be associated with  Umuchu people especially Ezeemo who had continued to propagate evangelism through numerous projects he is building in many churches  .

Speaking  in separate interviews,  some parishioners like  Mrs Vivian Ezeemo, Mr Ken Ilo, Ifeanyi Ezeonyi , Kelechi Ifemeje among others  said the day  would remain evergreen in their mind and thanked God for the gift of Christianity in Igbo land.
