Miffed by the lingering clashes between herdsmen and farmers in parts of the country, the Action Democratic Party (ADP), has demanded an immediate arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators or the president should be ready to be tagged as an accomplice.

The party explained that the killings, especially the masacre on Sunday morning, in Jos, Plateau State, that claimed over 100 lives was one too many for Nigerians to cope with, noting that such acts potent administrative failure.

ADP Chairman, Yabaji Sani, in a statement by the Director of Media, Kayode Jacobs, added that the current perception held by the people is that the government of President Buhari is shielding killer’s herdsmen and which should be proved otherwise.

“If the government fails to respond appropriately on this Jos killing , the nation may be driven into a situation where every citizen will fend  security for themselves and this could spell doom” he said.

He, however, praised Vice President Yemi Osibanjo for visiting and commiserating with families of the victims.

Sani emphasised that for Nigerians to get it right in terms of halting the perennial waste of lives, political affiliations, ethnic coloration should be parried, while actionable dailogue should be taken seriously.

The party, however, commiserate with the people of Jos and admonished the Plateau State government to be proactive.
