Afrobeat and RnB artiste Raquel Hage, on friday released his latest single, titled “Abule”.
Raquel disclosed this in a statement in Lagos.
He said that “abule” is a fusion of afrobeat and RnB which also incorporates a bit of culture in its lyrics.
The artiste, who spoke with the online platform on Friday in Lagos, said music could be used to influence people positively with good lyrical and quality content.
According to Raquel, her genre of music `afrobeat’ and Rhythm and Blues is not complex but comes with great messages.
She added that her new single, “ABULE”, was a typical example that music should be used to spread messages.
“My musical preferences are not complex. It is just based on good lyrics, quality content and the message, the music is passing across because I believe music is a tool and must be used appropriately.
“I have a new single titled ‘ABULE’. It is trying to preach Peace, determination and not having to worry so much amidst life issues and daily challenges.
“So, the song is just telling you to stay fucous. It is what we witness in everyday life,”she said.
Raquel, however, said that she intends to stand out with his vocal prowess and also utilise his online visibility to promote her music and effectively reach out to her fans.
Raquel said that the EP listening party was held at Lagos with a lot of industry leaders and music enthusiasts present.
