A talent manager and digital media expert, Mayowa Adenekan a.k.a Mayorspeaks has said artistes and music veterans who fail to evolve and embrace digital media will soon be replaced. The public relations juggernaut said.

Mayorspeaks noted that digitalization has completely redefined the concept of marketing in Nigeria and a lot of businesses, artists, content creators, and writers have taken advantage of the digital space, which has opened doors to new opportunities for them in their different niches. It has literally set the road map for the future of business and branding in Nigeria.
He said :”An artiste can either join the bandwagon of the digital space trend or get left behind in the shadows of those who have embraced the new technology.In all my years of managing artistes and business brands,I understand that it is important to learn all forms of media as a tool of promotion if one really want to deliver on the responsibilities of building a good reputation for the artiste and content creator.
For instance, skit makers use social media marketing tools such as Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube to promote their content to thousands of followers online putting them on their way to becoming the next big name. Musicians also use social media as a way of maintaining and communicating with their fan base”.
Speaking further, Mayorspeaks revealed that what appears to some as an advantage and a tool for growth, has now become a strange phenomenon to music artistes in Nigeria who have continued to embrace the old ways of purely traditional marketing alone.
