Largest auto trading group in sub-Saharan Africa, the Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers’ Association (ASPMDA), at Lagos International Trade Fair complex, on Badagry Expressway, on Wednesday, marked 19 years of relocating from Lagos Island to the massive complex with praises and worship to God.

Addressing thousands of members during the anniversary, Public Relations Officer, Prince Tony Omeh said “ASPMDA is grateful to God for the successful journey from Island to the Trade fair complex; since 2000.

“Remember, due to space and insecurity challenges disturbing our investments on Lagos Island, we approached the then Federal Ministry of Trade and Commerce and secured long development lease agreement, which empowered us to relocate and develop this hitherto abandoned federal establishment by turning it to world class trading edifice.

“This feat was unprecedented and, therefore, worthy of praises to God; for his grace and support to all of us at ASPMDA, in the last 19 years.”

On his message to the Nigerian motoring public and members, Omeh assured that “ASPMDA will continue to market genuine auto spare parts so as to keep Nigeria moving which is our official slogan at the complex.

“We have continued to be the best source of genuine motor parts servicing Nigeria, West Africa, North Africa and parts of Central Africa, and, we will not fail to continue.

“As you can see, the leadership of Chief Daniel Offorkansi, our president, has, in the last couple of years, taken ASPMDA to the next level with massive business expansion, delivery of new hospital, conveniences, internal roads, strong trading security, democracy dividends and rule of law.

Omeh said the praise and worship session was meant to call on petition writers and litigants to sheathe their swords and become partners in progress.
