Presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has assured the people of Southern Kaduna, Kaduna State of maximum security if voted into power in 2023 presidential election.

However, Atiku noted that insecurity is not only in Southern Kaduna but a national phenomenon which needed to be addressed with urgency if he wins the election.

The presidential candidate stated this during the 60th birthday anniversary of Emmanuel Kure, the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom (Trust) Ministry in Kafanchan, headquarters of Jema’a Local Government Area.

The PDP flag-bearer said he was in Southern Kaduna to celebrate Kure on his 60th birthday and to also commiserate with the people of Southern Kaduna on the recent killings in the region by bandits.

“All the geopolitical zones has one security challenges of one form or the other, we have to look at the holistic approach to bring about peaceful co-existence among all inhabitants of this country. The people should expect restructuring of the police, creation of local police to supplement the Nigerian Police,” Atiku said.

The celebrant urged the congregation to hold hands and pray for the success of the general election.

“Nigeria is still in the woods and there is need for us to joins hand and ensure the country did not break away.Our country is too precious to break away, let us not loose hope for God is going to speak during this election,” he said.

Kure said he never knew he would reach 60 years of age because of the many struggles he had to go through in Southern Kaduna, but God’s Grace helped him to survive it.

Asake congratulated Kure for attaining 60 and prayed God to keep him for more years to continue with the spiritual direction he has been giving the people and the land.

On his part, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State chapter, John Joseph Hayab, said the recent massacre has further proven that the killers of the Southern Kaduna people have not yet been neutralised as claimed.

He said the Federal Government and the security agencies must not let the killers escape.

“Those who committed this evil must be fished out, arrested, and brought to face justice.

“These renewed killings may be a strategy to scare the people from exercising their rights and to further increase fear and impoverish them,” he said.

Accordingly, CAN condemned the killings, calling on the government and security agents to rise to the occasion of protecting lives and property.

Meanwhile, various speakers during the celebration extolled the good qualities of Kure even as they prayed for long life and prosperity to enable him fulfil God’s works on earth.
