2023: I’ll unify Nigeria, release all entitlements of Abuja indigenes – Atiku

From George Onyejiuwa, Owerri

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State has said the presidential campaign rally in the State held on Saturday, December 17, 2022 during which Imo people came out overwhelmingly to receive the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has reconfirmed the collective and unyielding decision of Imo people to vote PDP in 2023.

The party also thanked the people of Imo for their show of unwavering love and support for the party’s presidential candidate ,Atiku Abubakar .

In a press statement issued on Sunday by the Publicity secretary , Mr Collins Opuruzor read: “Our Party, therefore, immensely thanks Imo people for such sincere outpouring of love and support for our presidential candidate, and states that it is an index of a victory already sealed.

The aspirations of Imo people for a Nigeria that works for all, that is safe and secure, that is fair and just, and that is brimming with limitless opportunities shall come to fruition with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as President. This is an assurance.

“Imo PDP is proud that, by all indices and indicators, Nigeria recorded the highest rate of economic growth since Independence between 1999 and 2007. That was the era of the PDP. And that was when Alhaji Atiku Abubakar was Vice President of Nigeria. He supervised the economy and coordinated the private sector to make that happen. He will not learn on the job. It is about experience, not experiment.

Imo people are enterprising. They need an enabling environment where businesses can thrive. It is exhilarating that our presidential candidate has vowed to revamp the commercial sector and unleash the entrepreneurial spirit of our people. He has pledged to support businesses with 10 Billion US Dollars when elected.

And by restructuring the country and devolving powers to the federating units, all parts of Nigeria will realize their full potentials, and Nigerians can live their dreams anywhere in the country.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is the unifier that Nigeria needs now that our nation has been divided along ethnic and religious fault lines. He is detribalized and he is the symbol of national unity. He understands Nigeria, respects all parts of the country and accommodates everyone irrespective of tribe or tongue.

Nwanne Di Na Mba 1 of Ngor Okpala is his chieftaincy title. He got it from Imo State, and it was his first title in Igboland. Chief Atiku is not just a brother to Imo people, he is a stakeholder in Imo State. His victory shall be a victory for Imo people whom he genuinely and eternally loves and treats as his brothers and sisters.

Our Party enjoins Imo people to continue to keep faith with PDP and to turn out en masse on February 25th, 2023 to vote PDP, so Imo to give Nigeria the right leadership.”
