Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu of  Kebbi state has urged corps members posted to the state to make tangible impacts on education, agriculture, health and rural infrastructure development of the state.

Governor Bagudu, who stated this during the closing ceremony of 2017 batch A three weeks orientation at the NYSC permanent camp, Dakingeri, on Tuesday,  said more efforts were needed on the sectors to improve nation’s economy.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Umaru Babale Yauri, Governor Bagudu said “there are several others issues of socio-economic conditions in our State which I expect your positive intervention.

“And in line with the commendable efforts of your predecessors in the areas of Education, Agriculture, Health,Rural Infrastructure. I urge you all to make tangible inroads in these sectors.

“I hope to receive reports of several Community Development projects and social services provided by members of this batch which would have long tern positive impact on the people of Kebbi state”.

The Governor assured them that the state would ensure their security and safety through out their service year stressed that their monthly local stipend would be paying every 20th of the month.

He advised them to utilise the NYSC skill acquisition programme to develop themselves and be jobs creation.

In his address, the state’s Coordinator of NYSC, Alhaji Lawal Turawa, charged corps members posting to their various places of primary assignment to be of good behavior, honest and committed to their duties.

“Respect your elders and employers, assist wherever possible; channel your abilities into community development services and other areas of felt- needs of your host communities.

“By doing so, you will not only be developing the nation, but also preparing yourselves for higher responsibilities while leaving behind enduring and memorable legacies.”
