Kebbi Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu and National President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Ayuba Wabba have rallied in support of the election of Dr Nasir Idris as governor in 2023.

The rally, which began at the stadium amidst songs, went through Bello way and terminated at the Halidu Abdul Stadium

Governor Bagudu joined the walk at Sir Yahya Memorial Hospital roundabout up to the stadium by foot.

Speaking at the rally, Wabba explained that the executives meeting (NEC) of NLC had endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the ruling APC, Dr Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu).

According to him, every union, body or association “takes sides with their own, therefore is not out of place for us to throw our weight behind the former National President of NUT and former deputy president of NLC “so he is our own and we are here to support him and I am directing all our affiliates to canvass support and votes for him.

He added that serving, retired and those in the private sector are also workers so their votes and support are also expected, saying the unique thing is that Bagudu is a former teacher and would hand over to a former teacher in Kebbi State.

Governor Bagudu, addressing the rally, described the APC candidate as a humble man who is ready for the job ahead of him.

The governor urged the electorates in the state to vote for the APC governorship candidate in the 2023 general elections in order to move the state forward.
