BASF West Africa, has launched a new ultra modern Application Technology laboratory for personal care  products.

Speaking at the official launch in Lagos at the weekned, the vice president, BASF West Africa, Dirk Mampe, said the aim for establishing the laboratory is to tackle hair and skin challenges throughout sub-saharan Africa.

According to Dirk, the chemical company provides chemical solutions for the specific needs of African hairs and skin for both local and multinational companies in manufacturing industry.

The vice president also maintained that BASF creates chemistry for the cosmetic and supply chain management by providing customized solutions to meet specific requirements of customers in different markets. “we provide chemicals, trainings, technical -know -how, and other chemical resources for industries through our innovation and research and development.

“We are value chain operators providing on -site-technical expertise and market insights to our customers and support the local development of tailored made products for the unique needs of African hairs and skin” he stressed.

He also added that BASF’s new state- of -the- Art application laboratory in Nigeria is designed to offer formulation support to expand and develop consumers relevant chain support for the needs of customers in sub- Sahara -Africa.

In his speech, the Managing Director, BASF West Africa, Jean Marc Ricca, affirmed that the company was not deterred by the Nigeria’s harsh economic climate having weathered the storms for over fifty-three years in the country, urging the in-coming administration to consider the economic wellbeing of the people as paramount by providing the enabling business environment for economic activities to thrive.
