The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, CP Ben Nebolisa Okolo has ordered the Command’s Provost Marshall to commence the trial of three Policemen over allegations of unruly behaviour.

The three Policemen ASP Peter Frank, Inspector Agip Teiwei , Inspector Bedford Emolade were seen in a viral video attacking a motorist with a stick over expired vehicle particulars at Akenfa in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

According to investigations the conduct of the three policemen had sparked outrage with many Nigerians calling for the officers to be disciplined.

Okolo was said to have infuriated with the conduct of the three Policemen and ordered their arrest and directed that a preliminary investigation be conducted.

At the end of the preliminary investigation, while ASP Frank was queried, Teiwei and Emolade were subjected to an orderly room trial.

The command spokesman, Asinim Butwats who confirmed that the orderly room trial has commenced said “the Nigeria Police Force is a disciplined organization and Bayelsa State Command cannot condone any act of indiscipline by its officers.”
