The Management of Niger Delta University (NDU) has suspended the first semester examinations indefinitely.

The suspension of the examinations according to sources was due to the unrest caused by students of the institutions who were prevented from sitting for the examinations because they have not paid the school fees.

The affected students were said to have stormed several examination halls on Monday and Tuesday, disrupted the examinations and destroyed property.

After assessing the situation in the school, the management convened an emergency meeting and decided to suspend the first-semester examination to allow students yet to pay school fees the opportunity to pay.
