Director-General of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier-General Suleiman Kazaure, has urged corps members in the country to be wary of the activities of kidnappers and fleeing Boko Haram, especially in major cities of the North.

General Kazaure made the call, on Tuesday, during the inspection of facilities at the NYSC Orientation Comp Mangu, Plateau State and described the camp as the best in the country.

He warned corps members against unnecessary journey during the one year mandatory national assignment to avoid ghastly accidents and armed robbery attacked.

“I don’t want to loss any of you to either kidnappers or the dreaded Boko Haram group who have been dislodged by the military from Sambisa forest, you should avoid walking in isolation and be conscious of who and where you visit at anytime.

“You should report any suspicious persons around you to security agents because the Boko Haram are everywhere now and are ready to unleash terror on innocent citizens, I don’t want any corps member to be involve in any misfortune.”

Plateau State Coordinator, Mrs. Olufunmilayo Akin Moses, expressed satisfaction over security of corps members in camp and those serving in the 17 Council Areas  and call for sustained security of Corpers in the state.

She noted that feeding of corps members in camp is relatively high in line with the directive of the NYSC, and stressed that: “What NYSC officials cannot eat,  cannot be given to corps members.”
