On Friday June 30, Bella assumed the role of a non-executive director at the construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc. She was appointed to the company’s board as another director in Globacom, Mrs. Gladys Talabi, who was also appointed in a non-executive director. Bella and Talabi’s appointments into the construction giant’s board have provoked suspicion that the self-effacing businessman must have become its highest investor. However, the appointments are worthy, especially Bella’s. Since her return to Nigeria from the United States after her studies at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, Bella has risen through the ranks to become an executive director in the telecom giant, Globacom.
For seven years, Bella has been married to Jameel Disu whom she met in 2004. They both have two beautiful kids.
