Incumbent governor and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Samuel Ortom, is in early lead following the results of the governorship election announced so far by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
From the result of 12 local government areas released so far by INEC, PDP polled a total of 151,092 while the All Progressives Congress
(APC) scored 148,880 votes.
However, out of 12 local government areas so far released, APC has won in seven local governments while the PDP won in five.
