Rose Ejembi, Makurdi

Some Benue youths, yesterday morning, besieged the Daudu major road in Guma Local Government Area of the state to protest against the mysterious disappearance of the manhood of some men in the community.

Daudu community, which is located along Makurdi/Lafia federal highway, is home to about three internally displaced persons camps housing thousands of IDPs currently.

A resident of the area, a, Terwase, disclosed that the aggrieved youths came out to protest alleged cases of penis disappearance which they said had been a recurring decimal in the community in the last few weeks.

The protest was said to have caused traffic gridlock on the busy highway for some hours.

Terwase told Sunday Sun that no fewer than six young men have had their penis disappear mysteriously in the past few weeks, a development which he noted made the youths embark on the protest.

He said the youths had to resort to protest after the traditional ruler in the community did not pay attention to their plight.
