Onome Akinlolu Majaro Foundation, in conjunction with Ada Ossai Productions have premiered a short movie entitled Beyond the Complexion, which advocates proper treatment for people living with albinism.
Executive Director/Founder of the foundation, Onome Akinlolu Majaro said albinism is a genetic condition and not a disability and so people living with the condition deserve to be treated right.
She added that a lot of people violate the rights of albinos because they are ignorant and that is what inspired the movie.
The producer, Ada Ossai added that the movie is an adaptation of a true life story.
Also speaking, a member of the Board of Trustees of the foundation, Rita Okagbare decried the fact that albinos are hunted and physically attacked due to prevailing myths and admonished parents who have albino children to shower them with love and affection.
