A former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, Gen. Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (rtd) says the agitation for the contentious issue of Biafra by separatist groups from the south east of the county will end soon.

“I am already handling that issue of agitations for Biafra because I am at the centre of it,“ Al-Mustapha told reporters, on Sunday, in Katsina.

Al-Mustapha, who was in Katsina to attend a peace campaign organised by the Awareness for Good Leadership, Peace and Development, said that he was also involved in a project to work out ways to address divisive issues within the nation’s six geo-political zones especially between the north and the south, towards charting a way forward.

“And, this will come to pass pretty soon and will take a new dimension,” he said, adding that, “you will soon see the results, God willing.
