From Obinna Odogwu, Ekwulobia

A Chieftain of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), from Isuaniocha, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State, Chief Nnamdi Oduenyi, has warned that no amount of killings, assault, arrest and intimidation of pro-Biafra agitators will stop agitation for self determination of the people of the zone.

Oduenyi said unless a provision is made for a round-table discussion between the agitators and the Federal Government towards finding a lasting solution to the marginalisation of the Igbo speaking states, the Biafra struggle will continue.

He sounded the note of warning while reacting to the alleged killing of scores of IPOB members who were celebrating the swearing in of new US president, Donald Trump, in Port Harcourt, Rivers Statem recently by security operatives.  Oduenyi reiterated that such killing was a deliberate act against the Igbo nation.

Said he, “There is nothing wrong in agitation for a tribe that is clamouring for independence. Their agitation is like a child who is crying and pointing his finger at a place which means either his mother or father is there.

“The South East Federal roads are terribly bad. We were not given any of the key federal appointments and we are not heading any of the military high positions.”

“Most tribes have six and more states and ours is five. Is it supposed to be so? So the agitation by these youths is to show we are aggrieved and you can’t stop them until these issues are resolved.”

On the 2017 gubernatorial election he said, “Governor Willie Obiano should be allowed to complete his good work in the state.”
