Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has blasted the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) over its statement, calling on President MuhammMuhammadu Buhari to crush pro-Biafra groups, as they stand as security threat to his administration.

The group said ACF comments showed that they were clueless and misinformed in all the current happenings about the restoration of sovereign state of Biafra.

Media and Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Mr. Emma Powerful, in a statement said the forum has already displayed the wickedness and hatred they have against the people of Biafra, forgetting that Biafra is a spirit no man, born of a woman, or forum and organisation can defeat.

Powerful said: “ACF should remember that during the era of Nigeria independence, Biafrans like Chief Mbonu Ejike, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Dr. Michael Okpara, Dr. Akanu Ibiam, Margaret Ekpo and others were at the forefront of the struggle for the independence of Nigeria. Your visionless forum want us to retaliate, we will not do so because we are a non-violent movement and nobody can set an agenda for us; we are professionals in this pursuit”.

“More so, we are calling on Biafrans from Igbankes, Ijaws, Igbo, Urhobos, Ibibios, Efik, Idomas, Igalas and others, who are Biafrans to be mindful of Arewa Forum because they have visited their brother in Aso Rock to support another genocidal war like the one they committed against the Biafrans between 1966 -1970, but they forgot, again, that they declared three months war on Biafrans and tagged it a police action but it lasted for three years”.

IPOB further alleged: “Arewa Forum visited Buhari because they felt he collected the loan he went to China to borrow. All Nigerians know that Arewas are economy destroyers and lazy people”.

“IPOB, worldwide, were asking where are the Biafran elders? Their counterparts in the north make them nobody in the country they fought for her independence vigorously, by telling the government to be killing Biafran children while Arewa and the government are negotiating with their killer squad known as Boko Haram”.

“We, the IPOB worldwide, welcome the advice to Buhari to crush the Biafrans, but the consequences will be unbearable. In line with this, we want to inform them that the  IPOB members killed and buried in a shallow pit in Aba on February 9,  2016 cannot repeat itself again without dear consequences in Onitsha and Port Harcourt,” the group warned.

“We commend Gen. Akinrinade and Chief Femi Fani-Kayode and others, who spoke on the issue of Biafra, knowing that Biafra is a just cause,” the statement concluded.
