The Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese, Rt. Rev. Alexander Chibuzo Ibezim has commended the graduating students of Bishop Crowther Seminary, Awka for their outstanding results in the just released Joint Admission And Matriculation (JAMB) results where 78 percent of the students had above 200 aggregate score.
Bishop Ibezim who spoke during the valedictory service/prize-giving day of the 2016/2017 academic session, at the Archbishop Patterson Memorial Chapel of the Seminary.
The Awka Bishop reminded the students that the six years they spent in the school ought to reflect in their homes and higher institutions where many would gain admission.

He charged them to shun cultism and other social vices, urging parents to always take oversight functions on their wards when they get into higher institutions. “Any careless overlook could likely distort the solid foundation we have laid in their lives while in school,” he said.

President, Mother’s Union, Women’s Guild and Girls’ Guild diocese of Awka, Mrs Martha Chioma Ibezim insisted that for the motto of the Great Crowtherians which is ‘Rise and Shine’ to be meaningful to the society, the outgoing students must be exemplary in character and learning and always be closer to God by placing Him first in all they do.
She confirmed that Bishop Crowther Seminary is one of the best seminary schools in South East and commended the Principal, Ven. Dr Nnamdi Emendu for his doggedness while thanking the staff for their resilience in bringing up the students in the best ways possible.
She advised the graduands to put all they have leant into good use.
Awka diocesan Clerical Synod Secretary, Venerable Clement Chibuzor Mgbemena in his valedictory service sermon charged the students to reflect the virtues impacted on them throughout their stay in the Seminary and be good ambassadors of the Anglican Communion.
Earlier in his address, the Principal of Bishop Crowther Seminary Awka, Ven. Nnamdi Emendu said he was impressed by the performances of the graduands as about 96 percent of them scored above 200 points in the 2017 UTME.
