A Non-governmental organization, Boys Quarters Africa is set to host the third edition of International Boy-Child summit.

This year’s event which is in partnership with Connected Development and support from Voice Global is themed “Redefining Masculinity 3.0 (Raising Boys, ReShaping Men & Transforming the Society)”, will be held on Thursday 19 May 2022.

According to the Chief Executive. Boys Quarters Africa, Solomon O. Ayodele, he explained that this year’s event is aimed at promoting healthy masculinity and also help mobilize boys and men in ending all forms of violence against women and girls.

This year’s edition promises to take a fresh turn, as the organization will be unveiling the first Boy-focused club on Ending Violence Against Violence and also releasing an educational material that can help boys in becoming allies in fighting all forms of violence.

Similarly, the Chief Executive of Connected Development, Hamzat Lawal, noted that this year’s edition will be hybrid, as the organization would be live streaming from a physical location in Lagos and annex viewing centres across Africa with a projected viewership over 4,000 Boys and 3,000 Young Adults. He further applauded the support of Voice Global in ensuring that Boys are mobilized as allies towards ending all forms of violence against women and girls

This year’s edition will also feature a specialized panel session of young and successful individuals like Barr. Taiwo Akinlami, Tunde Onakoya – Founder of Chess In Slum, Kayode Adeniji– Founder, African Revival Centre, Dayo Adeyemi – the Founder of Boys Empowered Network and Kitan David.
