The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, is leading with 71, 954 votes in seven local governments in Borno State as collation of results gets underway.

Results from Ngazai, Mobbar, Mongumeri, Gubio, Dikwa, Abadam and Guzamala (seven) local governments showed that Buhari beat his rival, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar who polled 3,348 votes.

State Collation Officer, Prof Saminu Ibrahim, while receiving the results from returning officers, at the collation centre, Kashim Ibrahim College of Education, Maiduguri, said the results of the remaining 20 local governments were still being expected.

There are 27 local governments in Borno State. And the results are as follows:

NGAZAI LG: PDP-775, APC-6,804

MOBBAR: PDP-13, 122, APC-280

MONGUMERI: PDP-692, APC-12,739

GUBIO: PDP-510, APC-10, 207

DIKWA: PDP-100, APC-17,805

ABADAM: PDP-270, APC -5,907
