The body of former governor of Taraba state Pharmacist Danbaba Danfulani Suntai arrived Jalingo this morning from the United States where he died.

The body, which arrived at exactly 10:58  was received by the state governor Arch Darius Ishaku at the Danbaba Danfulani Suntai Airport before it was conveyed to his family home for laying in state.

Suntai’s body arrived and was received by the Governor Darius Ishaku, his deputy Haruna Manu, Speaker of the state Assembly, Abel Peter Diah and other top government officials.

Thousands of people had trooped out to have a glimpse of their former governor, a man most people consider to be the “hero of modern Taraba”.

According to the burial program, there would be a wake keep later in the evening and a state Requiem service tomorrow morning before the body would be conveyed to his home town of Suntai in Bali local government area for burial.
