After being in the Department of State Services (DSS), detention for almost 24 hours, Chocolate City founder, Audu Maikori, has been released by the department.

This was confirmed by his personal assistant, Edward Israel-Ayide, via his Twitter page, where he wrote: “Thanks everyone for#FreeAudu He’s been released.

Recall that, Audu Maikori was picked up by DSS operatives on Friday in Lagos over his comments on the Southern Kaduna crisis and reportedly flown to Abuja.

Audu Maikori, was two weeks ago criticized for tweeting about the death of students, for which he later apologized to the College of Education in Gidan-Waya, Kaduna and the Kaduna State Government, for sending out false information about an attack on the school.
