Investigations into crimes allegedly committed by Evans, the motorious kidnap suspect have been concluded by the police.

This conclusion is within the 90 days remand order granted Nigeria Police by the court in Lagos to handle investigation and bring charges against him.

Evan’s first accusation is the kidnap of Mr. Donatus Dunu in Ilupeju Lagos whom he collected N150m ransom from. The case will come up at the Ikeja High Court 18 before Justice Oshodi on Wednesday, August 30.

Evans and 15 of his gang members have so far been arrested and are facing 14 substantive matters, 10 in Lagos and four in Edo State.

All of them make up to 52 charges of multiple murder, armed robberies, kidnaps, unlawful possession of firearms, unlawful possession of ammunitions etc.

Processes were filed by the police Legal Department and Lagos State Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) before the Lagos State High Court, Federal High Court and Edo State High Court, Benin City.

The arraignment of Evans on Wednesday alongside his gang members would be on one of the kidnap incidents.

Evans and five of his gang members who participated in Dunu’s kidnap will face the prosecution.

The remaining 13 matters relating to 13 more victims and other gang members of Evans not yet arraigned will come up on subsequent dates that the respective High Courts and the Federal High Courts will schedule in Lagos and Edo states.
