• Threatens to release 11 pictures on President

From Ndubuisi Orji, Abuja

EKITI State governor and chairman of the Peoples Demo- cratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, Ayodele Fayose, has faulted Acting President Yemi Osinbajo on his claims on the current health status of President Muhammadu Bu- hari. Fayose said the acting president’s claim that Buhari is re- cuperating fast and would return to the country soon is not true. He added that Osinbajo’s recent visit to London to see the president was diversionary.

The Ekiti State governor, who stated this in Abuja yes- terday, while speaking with journalists, threatened to re- lease 11 photographs depicting the real health condition of Buhari, if the Presidency does not come out clean on the president’s health. Fayose, while insisting that Buhari is incapacitated and presently on life support, challenged the acting president to prove him wrong by showing Nigerians pictures and video clips of his meeting with the president in London on Tuesday.

He said :”We pray for his (Buhari’s) health and for him to come back in one piece. However, the claim of the acting president that Buhari is recuperating fast is not true. The president is incapacitated, sick. There is no iota of truth that the president is in good condition. “In this age of technology, Osinbajo should be able to show Nigerians pictures and short videos of the president, to show he is okay. Nigerians want to see their president. “The acting president’s statement that Buhari is okay is not true, it is far from the truth. President Buhari is very sick, critically ill.”

The governor added: “We have an acting president of a nation who visited his boss, but cannot show evidence of the meeting. The picture they are posting on social me- dia are pictures taken long time. You recall that I said this again at Transcorp Hilton in 2015. We are talking about president of 170 million people. The acting president, vis- iting the president who has left this country for about 60 days or more, cannot show evidence of the meeting? It shows the president is in critical condition.”

Fayose warned: “If they continue to deceive Nigerians, I will release about 11 damaging pictures anytime from now on the president’s health. This will, in turn, create so many serious problems for this country. He regretted that his warning to Nigeria about President Buhari’s health in 2015 was ignored.

On whether the governors have made any effort to visit the president in London, the Ekiti governor said all their efforts in that regard met brick wall. Fayose said whenever he asked about President Buhari’s health, “they would say you are asking too much. But now, we have been able to establish that the president is on life support.” The Ekiti governor reiterated his earlier calls for Presi- dent Buhari to resign, so the country can move forward.
