Chairman of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) Contact Committee, Senator Roland Owie, has alleged that President Muhammadu Buhari has ‘a history of ethnocentrism and failure’ and has asked Nigerians to vote him out.

Senator Owie spoke against the backdrop of Buhari’s appointment of the Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) “over and above a better qualified Godwin Seiyefa, saying Mr. Buhari.

Allying with the Southern and Middle Belt leaders, senator Owie said: “I thank our Southern and Middle Belt leaders for their stand on President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of the DSS DG. Before Buhari took over power in 1983, the exchange rate was 90 kobo to a Pound and 70 kobo to a dollar.

However, within five months of that regime, the naira crashed and rationing of food items started and Nigeria’s economy went into darkness.

“Same thing in 2015. Before Buhari was sworn in, the naira was around N155 to the dollar. However, within five months of Buhari’s government, the naira crashed to N345 to a dollar.

“The reason is that whenever a head of any organisation has no compassion, the Holy Spirit deserts that organisation.

“Because Buhari has no compassion, the Holy Spirit is far away from the federal government of Nigeria. I urge men and women of goodwill in Nigeria to wake up and ensure president Buhari does not return to power in 2019.

“Buhari does not believe in justice…” said Owie.

Criticisms have trailed Buhari’s appointment of northern and Muslim folks into major national positions.
