President Muhammadu Buhari and Senate Chief Whip, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu have congratulated congratulated Femi Otedola, renowned businessman, philanthropist and chairman of Geregu Power Plc, Mr Femi Otedola, on his 60th birthday anniversary.
Buhari, in a statement by his media ide, Femi Adesina, said he joined the family, friends, and associates to celebrate the milestone of the business mogul.
He said he shared in the joy of the occasion, and gives thanks to the Almighty God, who has showered Otedola with grace for business success and prosperity, clearly reflected in his knack for investments in key sectors of the economy like oil and gas, shipping, real estate, finance, and energy.
As the business mogul turns 60, the resident affirmed that his interest in the real sector, creating employment for many, supporting infrastructure development, and opening opportunities for others to thrive remains an asset to the nation, while recognizing kind interventions by helping individuals, families, and the underprivileged.
He said he celebrates Otedola for always honoring the call to national service, serving as a member of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), and National Economic Management Council, and consistently providing a sounding board for economic and development policies.
The President prayed that God will keep the investor and his family in good health and strength.
Similarly, in a goodwill message he issued in Abuja, oyster, Kalu described the celebrant as a renowned businessman and philanthropist of repute and acknowledged his contributions to the social, as well as economic development of Nigeria.
The former governor of Abia commended Otedola for his outstanding accomplishments in all facets of life.
According to him, the celebrant is a rallying point for his contemporaries and the younger generation.
The Senate Chief Whip joined family, friends and associates in celebrating the former Chairman of Forte Oil Plc as he clocks 60.
He said: “On behalf of my family and good people of Abia North Senatorial district, I felicitate with the Chairman of Geregu Power Plc, Mr Femi Otedola, on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary.
“The celebrant is a household name in the global business community owing to his remarkable feat in business and philanthropy.
“His invaluable contributions to nation building through various platforms are enormous and worthy of commendation. Otedola has indeed carved a niche for himself in various capacities.”
Kalu prayed to God to grant Otedola longer life in the service of humanity.
