President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the Minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung on the death of his wife, Mrs. Briskila Dalung who died after a brief illness in the early hours of January 29, 2017 in Jos.

In a telephone call made to Dalung by the President on Monday night from London, where he is currently on a short vacation, he prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest.

President Buhari regretted the death of Mrs Dalung, which came at such an unripe age and prayed that God will forgive her sins and give the family she left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.

The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) board on her part also expressed her condolences to Dalung.

Chairman of the league body, Aisha Falode described the death of Dalung’s wife as painful, shocking as well as a great loss.

“The board of the NWFL wishes to express her sadness over the death of Mrs Briskila Naomi, the wife of the Youth and Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung.

“We pray Almighty God to give Dalung and the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss,” said Falode.
