Canada-based-fast-rising starlet, Bukky Abaniwonda is indeed a face to watch out for in Nollywood. Riding on the back of two successful outings in Bridges and It’s The End, the axtress has promised to bring her A game to Nollywood.
A Masters degree holder who works with a reputable firm in Canada, Bukky plays lead in Bridges, a flick produced by Native Media and directed by Rogers Ofime.
“I am trying to network with producers and directors and get a feel of the industry and find out what it takes to stand out. Acting is something I have always wanted to do.,” the actress revealed,
One issue dear to her is the rising incidence of violence against women. And thanks to the advent of social media which has brought more cases to the light. The actress believes there is a growing need to nip it in the bud.
Citing the movie, Dry, by Stepanie Okereke, as a flick that addresses societal ills, she says that her desire is to be a part of productions that would create awareness about domestic violence.
