We all deserve respect and just because a person is young or inexperienced, that doesn’t take that away. Just because one has decided to start their own business doesn’t mean it’s now appropriate for others to call at all hours of the day, to have no family time or personal space, and it’s certainly not okay to be spoken down to- especially when one is known that you’re providing amazing service.
For a while in her initial days as a business coach, it was a challenge for Brittney Jones to find a grip in the entrepreneurial community. She felt like she had to prove something because of her age and in her early years, many entrepreneurs attempted to push her around with their business experience. In the beginning, one just wants to please anyone, and one is so grateful for any opportunity that comes their way that often times they will let go of all boundaries and essentially cut off one’s left arm to please people. Brittney was that way for a long time, and she saw it happen all the time with entrepreneurs on daily basis. She is very happy for all of the opportunities now and regularly remembers to maintain her self-worth as an entrepreneur.
There will always be such times where you are challenged as an entrepreneur, this was one of the challenges she faced during her business growth. She is very thankful for the support and love of her parents, mentors and friends who had helped her stand her ground.
Her past experiences have just strengthened her and now Brittney is bold enough to talk about subjects that are very much considered “taboo” by society. She openly spoke about the income she was making. We’re always taught that is impolite to talk about money. Brittney has also talked about what does work on social media and what doesn’t. She says that the marketing strategies brands were using in 2014 weren’t going to get one successful. lessons.
One of the lines that Brittney says a lot in her podcasts is that one should drown out the noise of the haters, the doubters, those trying to talk you out of your dreams. During her struggle period, everybody laughed at her, she used to stand in the kitchen and feel like a small person but 6 months later, when she was gaining profit and progress, those who laughed at her were asking for a job in her business or asking for tips and tricks to be successful in their business.
She always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Brittney started her first business at age 16 and since then have built and sold many businesses including an ice cream store and a widely successful beauty app.
Some of Brittney Jones’s notable milestones to date are:
1. At the age of 30, She Made over half a million in income in 2020.
2. $70k+ revenue in a month
3. Successful growth of a network of over 100k over the net.
Brittney wants to continue to inspire others daily and give support to others starting out in the business so that they don’t have to go through the same difficulties she did. She would love to connect with people who have the same dreams as her. She will be launching a new suite of courses and services for entrepreneurs and someday, she would love to start a foundation for kids that provides scholarships, sponsorships for sports teams and so on. As we mentioned before, Brittney has always advocated for matters that she wished were covered in the public education system like personal finance, goal setting, journaling, self-awareness and emotions. And mentorship in entrepreneur categories.
