Catholic faithful shut down Abuja in protest

Catholic faithful has shutdown Abuja to register their discontent with killings and bad governance in Nigeria.

The protest was led by virtually all Catholic priests and other senior clergymen in the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja.

It was gathered that Cardinal Onaiyekan was absent because he was attending the burial of two catholic priests killed in Benue State last month by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
