Supreme Head of Celestial Church of Christ International, Pastor Gabriel Ben Omoge, has said Nigeria would emerge from the current trying times as the church and people of goodwill continued to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari and the country.

Pastor Omoge said this yesterday at a world press conference held in  Jesse Memorial Parish, Ojota, Lagos State where he unveiled the leadership’s plan for the 70th anniversary of the church and the launching of Golden City; its camp site sitting on a 400- hectares parcel of land along Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

“Nigeria and the president need our prayer to survive this hard times and that is all we need to do, we have been doing it and it has been helping. We know that the problem with this country is leadership, yet, they need our prayers. Also, to achieve the Golden City project we also need prayers. My vision for the church is to bring back the glory of the church,” Omoge, who spoke through Most Superior Evangelist Cole Adeyemi, said.

Giving details of the Golden City vision, the President of Golden Twelve, the group in charge of the project, Evangelist Adegoke Otcheje AKA Jerimoyamah, said about N500 billion was needed to realize the dream.

The Golden City will have a university and 21st century hospital complex to take care of members of the largest white garment congregation in the country, billed to come for periodic prayer and religious camping activities. “It is going to be another town. It’s for this reason that we are planning a fund raiser/luncheon with the pastor that will hold next month. We are looking to invite about 100,000 people for the luncheon,” he said.
