The consensus chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Benue State chapter, Austin Agada, has said he’s not desperate to lead the party.

Agada said although he’s determined to lead the APC in Benue State but his ambition is not a do or die affair.

The youthful politician said the floor is open to any aspirants to join the chairmanship race but that does not rule out the fact that the leadership of the party had earlier microzoned the seat to Ogbadibo where he was unanimously chosen as the consensus candidate.

Addressing newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, Agada said his decision to join the chairmanship race was to make the party formidable ahead of the 2023 election.

While thanking the leadership of the party for the trust and support so far, Agada said the few individuals who are against his endorsement should bear in mind that the voice of the people is the voice of God.

His words, “I have been reading some negative comments by few persons parading themselves as party stakeholders in Benue South who think the collective decision of our leaders should be discarded because of their selfish interest.

“I want to make it known once again that I am not desperate to lead our great party, the APC in Benue State.”
