Children remain nation’s greatest assets – Tambuwal’s wife

Tunde Omolehin, Sokoto

Wife of Sokoto State governor, Mrs. Maryam Mairo Tambuwal, has described Nigeria’s children as ‘pride of the country’.

Mrs. Tambuwal also commended Nigerian children for their belied in the future of the country despite the challenges confronting the nation at the moment.

She gave the commendation during a dinner organised for the children at the Government House, Sokoto.

The events also featured Iftar, Tafseer, drama and entertainment.

The Children’s Day event also coincided with her birthday, which she celebrated with the children at the government house

She commended her husband, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal for putting in place a conducive environment for the kids in the state.

According to her, “This is the first time we are doing children party here in Sokoto since the Boko Haram incidence

“I felt so happy seeing the children jumping and dancing everywhere,” she explained.
