Pastor Joseph Olalekan of the Christ Apostolic Church, Iloro Zonal Headquarters, Ile-Ife in  Osun State , has advised Christians to shun flamboyant lifestyles during Easter period so as to reflect on the importance  of the season.

Olalekan said, on Wednesday, in Ile-Ife, that Christians should not borrow funds to engage in merry-making.

He reminded them that their children and wards would soon return to their various schools in continuation of their studies.

Then, parents and guardians would be expected to pay school fees, buying of writing materials among other things, Olalekan said.

He, therefore, urged parents and guardians to celebrate the festivity according to their capacity, not borrowing to buy either food or drinks.

Olalekan said that parents should invest in the education of their children.

This is the best legacy that parents can bequeath to their children and thus prepare them a bright future, he said.

The clergyman appealed to Christians to use the period to pray for peaceful co-existence of Nigerians.

Olalekan advised the citizens to imbibe the right moral values of moderation and decent lifestyles in all their endeavours. (NAN)
