With shortage of fund, which has been an issue, he said the CGIS has done his best to ensure that officers embark on trainings and other welfare issues are attended to in the service.

On inter agency collaboration, Asogwa said that NIS is not working in isolation but collaborates with other sister agencies that they always cooperate with to achieve government directives particularly at this time of general elections.

While speaking on transborder crimes and other criminalities, Comptroller Asogwa noted that their activities have reduced but not completely wiped out and that as they are strategizing and coming out with new tactics, the officers and men of the NIS are following them with new strategies.

On capacity building, Asogwa hinted: ‘’Compt. Muhammad Babadede embarked on a serious capacity building or training of officers and men of the service. As matter of fact, if you don’t know what to do as an officer, you will mess up the system. Number one, you have to be trained to know your job. So training is a big factor to my success in border management here at Seme border.
