Confusion has trailed the visit of the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP)Peter Obi and his vice,Yusuf Datti to Imo State for a mega rally on Tuesday as factions of the party fixes two venues for the programme for Kanu Nwankwo stadium and the Ndubuisi Kanu square.

The State coordinator the party’s Presidential Campaign Council,Martins Agbaso and the State chairman of the party,Ambrose Onyekwere had earlier announced the Kanu Nwankwo Sports stadium as the venue of the event after their application for the Dan Anyiam stadium and the Ndubuisi Kanu Square,formerly known as Heroes Square was not approved.

But there was a twist to the controversy when the State government at the dime minutes to the event announcement the release of its facilities to every of their opposition parties in the State.

The scenario became more confusing when Fabian Ihekweme,the State coordinator,Big Tent, a support group of Obi-Datti acknowledged and thanked governor Uzodimma for the release of the government facility for the event.

As at 10 am the programme was already scheduled for,few supporters of the party were seen at the Kanu Nwankwo stadium while some other supporters gathered at the former Heroes Square at New Owerri.

Also,most of the Obi-Datti supporters lined up at the popular Owerri Control Post very close to the Heroes Square waiting to welcome Obi and his entourage.
