As the Corona virus Pandemic continue to ravage the globe, with various countries evacuating their citizens, the Eze Ndigbo  Mekong River Asia, HRH (amb) Jerome Uzochukwu  Ezeneche, Eze Nwatagwuosimiri has  condemned the Chinese authorities  decisions to eject Nigerians who has been quarantined since the outbreak of the pandemic.

In a statement, Ezeneche call on the Federal Government to immediately stop the Chinese from stigmatising Nigerians living in China who has been certified   free from the disease or else Nigerians at home would not hesitate to retaliate by also ejecting Chinese from Nigerian soil.

In a video which has gone viral and clips made available to the media,  the video show Chinese  police ejecting Nigerians from their homes and hotel rooms as well as denying them right to check into hotel rooms.

While lamenting over this obnoxious action against Nigerians, Ezeneche said even though the disease originated in China, the Chinese  have continued to hound Nigerians like dogs.

On how to evacuate Nigerians stranded in China, Thailand and other parts of the world, the royal father said that it is the responsibility of the Federal Government to provide the logistics for the evacuation of Nigerians from COVID-19 infested countries.

HRH Ezeneche who was responding to letter addressed to embassy of Nigeria in Thailand and its mission in Myanmar which stated that Nigerian  willing to be evacuated  should be ready to bear the cost, the royal father lamented that while other countries  were sending aircraft to evacuate their citizens stranded as a result of the pandemic, our own government  was attaching  financial conditions  for the evacuation  of its citizens.

While commending the FG for measure taken so far to address the spread of the disease in Nigeria so far, Ezeneche appealed to well meaning Nigerians to emulate Air peace boss, Allen Onyeama who deployed his aircraft to evacuate Nigerians stranded in South Africa during the Xenophobic attack.
