The lifeless body of a 35-year-old prostitute was found dead on Tuesday in a brothel in Kubwa area of Abuja.
Identified as Ome Enyi and a native of Cross River State, City News reports that the deceased had lived at the brothel for over a year.
It was gathered that a man had lodged in the brothel the previous night and was believed to have slept in the same room with late Ome.
The deceased was later discovered lying half-naked.
“The corpse was discovered by one of the cleaners who had gone to tidy up the room that morning,” a source said, adding that the remains was moved to Kubwa General Hospital by the police after the brothel manager reported the incident.
The remains of the prostitute have been deposited at the hospital morgue after being certified dead by a doctor.
Kubwa Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Chief Superintendent Nuruddeen Sabo, has confirmed the incident.
