FIVE persons have been killed and two kidnapped, when suspected cultists invaded Oduoha community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State.

Among the five killed, two were said to have been beheaded by the suspected cultists. Sources in the community said the incident occurred on Thursday night, while many persons had already fled the community.

Those killed include; Chile Wosu, Medi Amadi, Chijioke Wosu, Obiee Ordu, and Eloquent Wosu.

It was gathered that the killing was allegedly executed by suspected members of Degban cult group, who invaded Oduoha community in a reprisal attack after the killing of two of their men recently.

Another source in the community identified as Chimelu, alleged that the persons murdered were members of a rival cult group, Icelander, adding that the community has not ascertained the cause of the recent attack.

Chimelu said “The ones killed were members of Icelander. The blood thirsty Degban cult group stormed Oduoha-Emohua community, killing five persons, beheaded two of its victims before taking two away making it seven victims affected by the clash.

“The residents of Oduoha-Emohua community have began to flee the commu nity because the rival cult group has taken up arms parading the area in search of their opponents. A similar thing also happened in Ogba-Egbema Ndoni Local Government where four persons were beheaded”.
