Ramesh Hathiramani, Chairman of the Dana Group (owners of Dana Air),  has won the award for the ‘Most Outstanding Entrepreneur in the Aviation Industry’.

The honour was courtesy of Africa Global Development for Positive Change Initiative (ADI Africa) in Lagos. The award was presented to him at the airline’s corporate head office by the President of ADI Africa, Prince Dan Mbachi at a brief event witnessed by staff and the management team of the airline.

A multiple investor, Hathiramani sits atop a chain of businesses in the aviation, banking, oil and gas, fintech, real estate, FMCG, steel, pharmaceutical, and automobile sectors.

His companies include Dana Steel, Dana Life Care, Dana Air, DanaPharm, Bankit, and Dana Motors with investments in key sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Dr Mbachi, while presenting the award, described Ramesh Hahiramani as a shining star and a symbol of the irrepressible spirit of a true African entrepreneur, resilient, passionate committed, and extremely hardworking.

“Any business he ventures into eventually springs up into the leadership position contributing greatly to major sectors of the Nigerian economy and providing direct and indirect employment to millions of Nigerians.”
