The convener of the event, Debby Silas, said the awards were to celebrate men and women who have done great exploits in their chosen field.
“We are here today to celebrate icons of excellence. We celebrate you and honour you for your great deeds in the society. The awardees have been carefully chosen based on their activities and the various ways they have touched people’s lives.”
Also, during the welcome address, Mr. Ebuka Obioma confirmed that it is an award of excellence organised to recognise the great deeds of people in the movie industry, media, charity among many other fields.
The awardees in their glory and glamour climbed the stage to get their awards and honours with dignity.
First to be awarded was Helen Mbakwe who bagged the Award of special recognitions in the Humanitarian category followed by Barrister Ugochi Madueke who was honoured with the humanitarian/philanthropist award.
Gloria Anozie Young and Nobert Young were respectively awarded as ‘Best Actress in a Leading Role’ and ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role’. Moji Oyetayo was also recognized with the Golden Actress Award.
Woman of essence humanitarian award goes to Chief Mrs Linda Nonye Okeke Ugosimba who also doubles as the most beautiful woman at 50.
Best hotel in Eastern Nigeria award was given to Rixos Continental Hotel while Best recreation center in South Eastern Nigeria was given to Honourable Cosmos Ndukwe’s Sugarland.
Ejike Asiegbu was given Outstanding actor award of Old Nollywood. Ogbuefi I Go Tuk was honoured as the ‘Outstanding comedian of the year’
Event Services planner specialist award of the year was given to Francbiss Event n cooling van limited. Woman of essence, fashion designer award of the year was awarded to Princess Ebere Umeh.
Best Female DJ of the year was given to Commissioner DJ WYSEI while Entrepreneur multibusiness brain of the year was given to Cycncel multilink andDirector, Ronick Multitrade Nig. Ltd.
Emeka Nwachukwu was honoured with ‘Outstanding corporate event specialist award of the year’ and Comedian Icon of the year award was given to Kingsley Ogbonna AKA Dauda.
Joenye Kitchen Nigeria Limited was honoured with ‘Best in customer service, quality in kitchen and bakery equipment’ while the Top class kitchen equipment award of the year was given to Chairman Machinery Ltd. Em-reach kitchen global bagged World-class quality kitchen equipment award.
Engineer Sunday Esomonu was crowned with the philanthropist/humanitarian award. The CEO of Hytle Phones was honoured as Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year.
Doris Tony Onyebula was given the Diamond achievement humanitarian award. Golden kitchen equipment brand of the year award was given to Adams Nwankwo’s Mecadams Kitchen World Ltd.
Lady Stella Nkechi Edochi bagged the Diamond Achievement humanitarian award and Best Male Make-up artist of the year award was given to D_Boomsglam.
Diamond achievement humanitarian award was also given to Lilian Anachusi. Hon. Ibe Nwachukwu bagged the outstanding agricultural firm humanitarian award.
Best leading company, world-class quality in doors and furnitures award was granted Swanky Integrated Concept Limited. Chief Priest is the most celebrated barman.
Anita Joseph’s Hour Glass Fashion World was given the best quality fashion products/services brand of the year award. Gee Felix Adonix was specially recognized with the award of a legendary gees pub.
Best actor in comedy movie series was given to Charles Inojie and Outstanding Footballer Award was given to Emmanuel Emenike.
