If there is any lesson that has been learnt from the flash floods that overran Lagos recently, it is the need to desist from indiscriminate dumping of refuse in drainages. And this fact is not lost on corporate bodies.
Last weekend, Lagos came to a standstill when Olamide, in conjunction with Sterling Bank, took to the streets of Lagos. It was fun as street sweepers, dressed in LAWMA orange coveralls, toured the metropolis for three days doing choreographed dances while cleaning on the go. Joining them was Olamide who urged Lagosians to protect and keep the environment clean in a Sterling Bank’s initiative tagged: ‘Skate and Clean’ under the umbrella of Sterling Environmental Makeover (STEM) programme.
