Six corpses were recovered from the rubble where a five-storey building collapsed in Lekki, Lagos, on Tuesday, the National Emergency Management Agency has said.

Eighteen corpses were recovered and taken to the morgue on Tuesday while 13 others were rushed to hospital. But witnesses told PREMIUM TIMES that 15 corpses were recovered on Wednesday.

On Wednesday afternoon, six bodies, wrapped in body bags, were seen a few metres away from the collapsed building’s rubble.
